Especially for things which are not sold in nearby shops. Despite saving time, they're also able to research products and compare prices among retailers. For vendors, since the consumers overcome geographical barriers, they're able to send the products to consumers directly no matter where they are.
Although online shopping is convenient, it's also a big challenge for both consumers and vendors to track their parcels and make sure it can be delivered on time. So we have various kinds of tracking tools to help with that. It is obvious that general consumers only have few parcels need to be tracked after shopping online. While vendors usually need to track hundreds or even thousands of parcels to make sure that all their customers can receive their product in time. And they can also do something once there is something wrong in transit.

How to track multiple parcels in TrackingMore.com
Sign up your own account and log in
1. Use your browser to open www.trackingmore.com
2. Click "Sign up" and choose the type you prefer to track. (Tips: If you want to track hundreds or thousands of parcels, please choose the left one. If you're not sure, just click "Next".)
3. The account is free and you can choose "LOG WITH" your Google or Facebook account directly, which saves your time and energy. After that, click "Login Now" on the bottom to log. Then you can enjoy your journey on TrackingMore.
Tracking
This is your dashboard when you log in. Let's start to learn how to use Full CSV Sample to achieve tracking multiple parcels.
1. Click "Trackings" on the top, then choose "+Add New"
2. There are three options to track parcel(s) depending on different needs.
Single Parcel: you can only track ONE parcel at a time
Multiple Parcels: you can input no more than 100 tracking numbers at a time, and you need to choose at least ONE Courier to help to make sure the accuracy of the results.
CSV Upload: That's the main thing you need to learn if you want to track thousands of parcels at a time. There are two types of spreadsheets for your reference, Full CSV and Basic CSV. Full CSV requires much more information than Basic CSV. But I still recommend you to track your parcels by using this spreadsheet because it only spends a second to get all the information with higher accuracy.
Status bar: After importing the spreadsheet, it'll show you the status of the date of each file. And it shows the latest 10 files at most.
We can click "Full CSV Sample" to check what we need before uploading and tracking. TrackingMore has recently updated the sample of Full CSV, which is clearer and easy to use now. Let's see what's the difference and why it's better than before.
*All the information should be fulfilled IN TURN. If you don't what to fulfill, just leave blank but DO NOT delete the column.
The column is almost the same. Except for the required fields, other columns are also very helpful when we need to find specific needs. I'll write another blog to explain this part to you next time.
Comparing with the original version, the biggest change is the "origin courier code" has been changed into "Courier Name". What's the difference? It means we only need to input the NAME of courier instead of origin courier CODE. And we're no longer need to memorize each CODE of every courier.
The way to select courier
There are three ways to input the Name of Courier in the updated version, type, choose or copy & paste. For example, if the courier is Hong Kong Post, what can I do?
Type
There are two ways to choose your courier. First, you can simply type the name of the courier in Column A, and press enter.
If what you've typed is wrong, for example, if you type "hongkongpost" and press Enter, there will be an error message that requires you to input the correct name again.
Choose
If you don't know the correct spelling or format of the courier, you can also choose the correct one. There is a small triangle in the right of the table. You can simply click it and then drag to find the correct courier, click it and it's done. It's the same as typing "hong kong post".
Copy & Paste
If you still want to use courier code, you can refer to the other sheet in this file. It's on the bottom, named "Reference". The information of courier code and the corresponding name is all included.
You can find the one you want and copy. Then paste it in Column A of first sheet.
*Please notice that the Courier code you copied must from "Reference". If you copied anything else from other places, it won't remind you here but the failing results will be shown in the status bar. And I'll give a detailed introduction in next part.
*Blue:Correct Red:Wrong
Personally, this way takes more time than the first two ways. If you want to give it a try, then go for it.
Things you need to notice about other columns
Some columns are related to numbers. Then you have to pay more attention to it.
Phone Number
There's a note in Column H(Phone Number): "Please add the country code before the phone number. The country code and number should be separated by a space. eg 61 235415426 is a Canada phone number"
TrackingMore is an international all-in-one package tracking tool, people all over the world are using it to meet their needs in tracking parcels. And the length of phone numbers is different in different countries. That's why Country Code is a MUST in this column. And remember to add a SPACE after country code, or the system may feel confused to find out which part is the country code.
Tracking ship date
It classifies the date of each item clearly, which is helpful when you want to find parcels in specific ship date. The format is YYYYMMDD. For example, if the date is June 2nd, 2018, "20180602" is valid in this column. No space or punctuation is needed.
One more step to track multiple parcels - Upload the spreadsheet
After fulfilling enough information, remember to save it and we can prepare to upload it.
The MORE information you fulfill, the more accurate the result will be.
To make the saved file different, I rename it to "Orders need to be tracked". Let's go back to the website and witness the miracle.
1. Click "Choose files"
2. Select the file and
3. Click "Open" on the bottom.
4. Click "Import" and wait for a sec.
After seeing this notification page, you can feel free to click "Close".
Then we can see the results.
You may notice that I add 5 tracking numbers but only 4 packages shown in the tracking page. Actually, it's because the information on line 2 and line 3 is the same. Did you find that? TrackingMore finds it and merges repeated information. So you don't need to worry about typing repeated information by accident.
With the help of this spreadsheet, you can easily track thousands of parcels at a time. And there are also other useful functions of this tool, which I'll give a detailed introduction next time.
If you want to use another spreadsheet to track, just repeat the steps above. Then you might notice that something has changed in the status bar.
It shows the recent spreadsheet you've uploaded along with its status. If you close the notification page accidentally and want to find "view detail" to check. Here's the way.
Two things might fail to upload
The best thing about this tool is that you can check details and find out why it's not workable. It'll tell you the status of the number every time and you can click "view detail" to check which part is wrong.
There are two main reasons for causing upload failed. Wrong courier name and wrong tracking number format.
Wrong courier code/name
When it says that there is "undefined courier code", usually, it's because you copied the courier code from other places. I've stressed this part in particular in the last part. If you're still confused, you can read The way to select courier again and let me know if you still can't figure it out.
Wrong tracking number format
If you exactly follow this instruction to upload the spreadsheet, and didn't copy the courier code from other places. But it still says "fail to upload". After clicking "view detail" you may find "wrong tracking number format". That means, Chinese character or punctuation is included in Line "Tracking Number".
Now try it again, is everything good now?
Amount & Size
Even this tool is so useful and saves your time, it might not be able to recognize all your tracking numbers if you have millions of it. It's better to control the amount of the number is under 10000 and each file size is no bigger than 500KB, or it'll report an error. Also, don't add too much blank lines, it might also have influences.
